How to Create a Sentry Empty How to Create a Sentry

Post by Admin Tue Aug 02, 2016 11:18 pm

Introduction
One of the big focuses on this site are the Steel Sentry, giant mecha that are used for war, all equipped with the Ether Drive System (EDS) which allows the user to be able to use magic.  As these were inspired by the Harbinger "Tyranus" these are large humanoid robots that are piloted by a person (or mechanical doll).  The majority of the jobs require a Steel Sentry, so having at least 1 Steel Sentry would be a good idea.

While people are allowed to have more than 1 Steel Sentry, the first one is given to the player free of charge (at the lowest rating, anyway).

What Makes up a Steel Sentry
A Steel Sentry has 4 major components:
- Weapon/shield Slots (These are how many weapons/shields you can have equipped at once and on specific locations)
- Accessory Slots  (These are the number of accessories your Sentry can have [such as transforming into another form])
- Core (This is basically the HP of your Sentry)
- Tuning  (These are augmentation to your Sentry's stats)

Weapon/Shield Slots
Spoiler:
If you have a slot occupied where an ability is to go, then you must choose either the weapon/shield or the accessory.  Only 1 thing can go onto one slot at a time.

How to Create your Sentry
Everyone starts off with 20 points to make their Sentry with.  These are the points used to add weapon slots, accessory slots, core upgrades, and tune-ups.

Weapon Slots
You start out with 0 weapon slots.
Each slot costs 1 Point.
When selecting to have a weapon slot, please state which slot you'd like available.
Example:
Weapon Slot - 1 pt - Left Hand
Weapon Slot - 1 pt - Right Hand
Weapon Slot - 1 pt - Right Shoulder
Weapon Slot - 1 pt - Chest

Accessory Slots
Each slot costs 2 points.  You can have up to 5 Accessory Slots per Sentry.
When selecting to have an Accessory Slot, just state how many you want and the points it'll cost.
Example:
4 Accessory Slots - 8 pts

Core
Each point placed into the core increases the HP of the core, which also increases the HP of your Sentry.
1 Point added here adds X HP.

Tune-up
Each point placed into Tune-Up varies depending on the attribute.

How to Create a Sentry Empty Re: How to Create a Sentry

The following is the application you must fill out in order to make your Sentry.  Copy this application and create your own

Code:
[b]Name of Sentry[/b]:
[b]Application Type[/b]:  Initial Creation (which is for brand new characters) or Alternate Creation (which is for creating a new Sentry when you already have already created one.  In order to get an Alternate Creation, must provide a Sentry Voucher from purchasing one in the shop)
[b]Sentry Description[/b]:  (What does your Sentry look like?)
[b]Sentry Face Claim[/b]:  (Same as claiming a face claim for character creation)

You get 20 Points to distribute for your Sentry.  Please allocate them with the below:
[b]Weapon/Shield Slots[/b]:  (State points used.  State slots bought)
[b]Accessory Slots[/b]:  (State points used.  State how many accessory slots bought)
[b]Core[/b]:  State how many upgrades you want
[b]Tune-up[/b]:  State how many points used and what stats they are to go to.

Once you have done this, a staff member will review your Sentry and post the final product of what you have gained.

Once you have finished creating your Sentry, now you can do the 3 following things:
1: Creating your Sentry's weapons/armor - You can find more information HERE
2: Creating your Sentry's Ether Drive - This is your magic that you can only use while in your Sentry. You can find more information on Ether Drives HERE.
3: Yup, there's a third. Once this has been completed, you should also update your profile.
